This is a post has been a long time coming. Its a big deal to me because I finally get to say that I've followed my heart and it has officially brought me to San Francisco. I know I moved to California a few weeks ago, and that in itself was huge for me, but two days ago on Sunday, I moved in with my new roommates in my new house, with an address that ends in San Francisco, CA. The past couple days have been filled with unpacking and trying to settle in, but now that most items have found a home and I've slept two nights in my new bed, its all starting to feel real. One long journey of emotions and searching for the direction my heart wanted to go has actually come to an end and its almost bittersweet.
Its as if I'm picturing my life as a book and I've just finished part one. Its been long and intense at times, heart wrenching, and chapters that were slow and made me want to stop reading, but I made it to the end, and I've reached the beginning of part two. I have no idea what will be written on those pages, but I can't wait to find out.
I'll share pieces of the story with you as they are written, so the photos are just a taste of some of the first moments. Time spent in Golden Gate Park, did I mention it's two blocks away? One of the best cups of coffee I have ever made, thanks to my new roommate teaching me how to use a cute little Italian coffee maker. Succulents gifted to me from my aunt's garden to bring some life into my new home. The door leading to my room from our backyard which I love leaving open to feel the breeze. Small moments, welcoming me home. The calm before the storm, but a storm that I welcome with open arms.
