I've been here in my new city, new home for one month now. While little bits are becoming familiar, so much of my life still feels new. I think sometimes getting into the swing of things takes longer then expected, but that is how it is meant to be. The sunshine has been my solace.
This week, I finally got around to watching a movie that has caught my eye for a while. If you are looking for some new material, here is my recommendation. It's on Netflix. I finished the book The Giver, it was my first time reading it. Easy, simple, and yet another reminder that we are meant to be individuals, be different. Today I started a new book, lent to me by a new friend. Which makes me happy. Also making me happy is Nat King Cole radio on pandora, it hasn't let me down yet. A couple nights ago I was reminded that chamomile tea is one of life's simplest pleasures; I'm not sure how I forgot. I've also spent some time painting the coffee table. Little details, intricate patterns, time consuming design, you know, my usual. Eventually it will be in use. On Friday I was able to sneak in a thrift store trip with my roommate which included a stop at Paxton Gate. Taxidermy, crystals, succulents, and more, lets just say it is an interesting spot. Oh, and I've recently started a new job, which thankfully, I am loving so far.
It's been a good week, I hope yours has been as well. If you feel like sharing any moments, please know that I'd always love to hear them.
